Rules & Regulations

1. “Host” shall at all times be defined as the party holding the event at Schnebly Redland’s Winery. For purposes of this document, Schnebly Redland’s Winery will be referred to as “the Winery.”

 

2. Contracts of interest are only valid from the time a 50% non refundable deposit is received; this also guarantees your date.  Final payment must be received in our office 30 days before the date of your event. 

 

3. At the time of signing, a refundable security deposit of 30% of the rental amount is required. In the event that any damage is done to the winery your security deposit will be used to pay for the damages.  If the damage totals more than your security deposit, the host will be billed for the additional expenses.  If no damages were incurred, the winery will return your security deposit with in 1-2 weeks after your event.

 

4. If the contract is signed less than 30 days prior to the event, payment will be required in full the day the agreement is signed.

 

5. All checks or money orders are to be made payable to Schnebly Redland’s Winery.

 

6. A total number guest count and vendor listing with phone numbers must be provided by the “Host” to the Winery Event Management no later than 30 days prior to the event.   

 

7. Host is responsible for providing all vendors for their event

 

8. Host is responsible, and has to be present at the facility to oversee/ supervise all vendor setup, operations, and clean up. “The Winery” is not responsible for any miscommunications, error in vendor setup, missing equipment, or lack of supplies.

 

9. Tenting is only permitted on the Festival Grounds. The tent must be secured through the Winery and must be paid 7 days in advance of the event. Please see attached fee list.

 

10. The Winery Event Management must approve any auctions or other fundraising events. Such events will need to have a photo copy of their Non for Profit Status.  Following State and Local laws no gambling will be allowed. Any gambling activities or games of chance will automatically end the event.

 

11. Alcoholic beverages shall not be consumed by anyone less than 21 years of age. Violation of this shall be grounds for immediate termination of this event, and we will be forced to notify the authorities.  Proper ID may be required for guests 25 years and younger.

 

12. Schnebly Redland’s Winery is a dry facility for service personnel. All workers, whether employees of the Winery or outside vendors are strictly prohibited from alcoholic consumption on property. If any external staffing is not conducting business in a professional manner, a Winery representative may request their dismissal from Winery property.

 

13. Based on the type and projected attendance, additional security may be required, in which case the Host will be required to secure and pay The Homestead Police Department Stipulated by the Winery Events Management.

 

14. All deliveries for an event must use the Service Entrance.

 

15. Limousines and other unique transportation are allowed at the Winery.  In the event of a Horse Carriage the vendor/host is responsible for the clean up. Failure to clean up will result in additional charges against your security deposit.

 

16. Failure to Winery Events Management of unusual electrical requirements may result    in inadequate power or power failure. Host is responsible for ensuring that vendors provide sufficient extension cord, electrical panels, etc. to cover events electrical needs. The winery does not have extra extension cords for the event.

 

17. Starting the weekend prior to Thanksgiving until the first week of January, the Winery will be decorated for the Christmas holiday season.  When planning an event at the Winery during this time please keep in mind the decorations will be displayed and the Winery will not remove or move any of the decorations during this time.

 

18. All property enhancements or decorations must be approved by the Winery Events Management. Decorations shall in no way damage the property.  No aerosol paints or sprays of any kind may be used at the Winery. No signage may be posted at the Winery without prior written approval by the Winery Events Management.

 

19. Smoking is not permitted in any Tiki huts, or in the natural areas. Smoking is allowed only in designated courtyard area.

 

20. No alteration, trimming or cutting of any plants or trees.        

 

21. In order to prevent injury as well as protecting our natural environment, no one at any time is allowed to climb trees nor are they allowed in the water surrounding the Koi ponds and the waterfalls. Violation of this term shall be grounds for immediate termination of this event.

 

22. No pets are permitted at the Winery. Service animals for individuals with disabilities are permitted with written permission that has been given before hand to the event coordinator

 

23. No dumping of any substance is allowed at the Winery.  This includes ice, drinks, oil, etc.  All garbage disposals are the responsibility of the caterer.  Any garbage clean up after event provided by “The winery” may result in additional fee’s taken from your deposit.

 

24. Noise levels due to crowd, music and other sources shall be at the discretion of the Event Coordinator. County ordinance states that music must cease by 11:00 PM.

 

25. All receptions must end by 11:00 pm.  All beverage service must conclude 15 minutes prior to the ending time.

 

26. No explosions, firearms or fireworks are allowed on the property. Airplanes, helicopter, glider, balloons, parachute or other aerial apparatus are specifically prohibited unless prior permission has been given.

 

27. The tossing of birdseed, rice, bubbles and confetti is prohibited.  Flower petals, butterflies and doves releases are permissible with written consent of the Winery Events Management. 

 

28. Host understands that they are responsible for the clean up of all areas used and all items needed for clean up. Including but not limited to brooms, mops, cleaning solutions and trash bags (60 gal thick bags). Failure to do so will result in fees taken from security deposit.

 

29. Host understands and accepts that disruption, interruption, or cancellation of an event as a result of natural disasters, are to be borne by the Host. The Winery will make every effort to reschedule events due to hurricanes as quickly as possible. If money has been expended on preparations for the event, the Winery will not provide reimbursement, nor will such funds be used as a credit for the rescheduling of the event.

 

30. The Host agrees to abide by all federal, state, and local laws.

 

31. Signature of Host on attached, “Rental Agreement Application” indicates agreement to abide by the Winery’s “Rules and Regulations.” Application is not accepted and the date is not reserved unless the attached “Original Agreement” is signed and submitted with deposit.

 

32. Wedding rehearsals and set up times shall be scheduled with the Winery Events Management.

 

33. The Winery needs all documents signed and on file no later that 30 days prior to event.

 

34. Set up time is no earlier than 10 am Monday-Saturday and 12 pm on Sunday.
