The history of fruit wine
The fruit wines made at Schnebly Winery can be traced back to ancient times, as wine has been around for ages. In fact, fruit wines have been around longer than grape wines! Humans were trying their hand at fruit fermentation as early as the Neolithic era.
The popularity of fruit wine has ebbed and flowed over the centuries, but it has always been a staple in human diets. Grape wine is a more recent invention, with the first evidence of it appearing in the 6th century BC. However, fruit wine is still enjoyed globally today, cherry wine, plum wine, apple wine, orange wine, blackberry wine, pineapple wine, and so many other fruit wines are consumed all over the world.
Sweet wine is an important staple of European, Middle Eastern, and North African cuisine. We at Schnebly Winery believe fruit wines are a wonderful way to bring fruit’s naturally sweet flavor to your next meal!
The different types of fruit wines made at Schnebly Winery
Schnebly Winery offers fruit wines made from a variety of different fruits. We have sweet avocado wine, carambola wine, coconut wine, guava wine, passion fruit wine, and so many more! If you want to try something new and fruity, Schnebly Winery is the place to go.
Why you should try a glass or two
Traditional wine is a great way to add fruit flavor to your next meal, but fruit wines are also great for when you want something alcoholic without the taste of grape. Our fruit wines are delicious and refreshing beverages that will quickly become a favorite in any household!
Try Schnebly Winery fruit wines straight out of the bottle or mix them into cocktails for tasty fruit flavors that pair with all kinds of situations.
How to serve and store your fruit wine
The best way to serve your fruit wine is chilled, so be sure to store them in your fridge until it’s time to drink. You can also store them in a cool place, but keep them out of direct sunlight. Fruit wines will last for about a year if stored properly.
After opening a fruit wine bottle, you can store the fruit wine in your fridge for up to two weeks. If you decide not to drink it within two weeks, be sure to cork the bottle or reseal it with a wine stopper so that air doesn’t get into the fruit wine.
